Welcome to Ruby Rocks Kennel

We are a specialized kennel focused on gun dogs for the serious hunter. All of our dogs are Versatile Hunting Dog Federation tested for Versatile Hunting Ability, field evaluated on wild birds and peer reviewed by the German Wirehair Alliance before they are chosen for breeding. We specifically look for hard hunting, strong, well tempered and stylish dogs. These dogs must excel at versatile hunting situations and have appreciable citizenship away from the field.

Ruby Rocks Kennel is a member of the German Wirehair Alliance which lists upcoming litters of existing members. All breedings are held to a very high standard of requirements. We would highly recommend any puppy from alliance members.

Ruby (Dam)

Ruby ( Jana v.den drei Teufeln ) is the Dam. She is a well balanced versatile hunting dog. She successfully hunts chukar, quail, pheasant, huns, grouse, ducks and geese and will hunt from sun up until sun down. Yet, even with this high level of desire, she is very calm when it is required of her. Most evenings are spent in the house where she is an exceptional citizen and a great member of the family.

Ruby's testing has been completed within the VHDF program and her scores have been exceptional. She has received numerous extra points for 'exceptional work'. The VHDF program is a 10 point system with 2 additional points available for 'exceptional work'.

Angus (Sire)

Angus (Ingo v.den drei Teufeln ) is the Sire. I have hunted and worked with Angus. His owner, Randy, is a friend of ours. Angus is a very personable and intelligent dog. As you can see from his test scores he excels in the trained categories as well as the natural ability categories. Angus does a large amount of water fowl hunting, particularly geese, as well as upland. Angus has that unique trait of being a 'Show Me Once' dog. Meaning in training situations he typically catches the training concept right off the bat. He is extremely intelligent.

You can find Angus' puppy VHDF Hunting Aptitude Evaluation (HAE) score ( 67 out of 70 ) here and his VHDF Advanced Hunting Aptitude Evaluation (AHAE) score ( 192 out of 180 ) here. Simply search for Angus. His scores are exceptional as well. His hips have been certified HD Free through PennHIP as well. Angus is listed on the German Wirehair Alliance stud registry.

Pricing and Delivery
The prices for the puppies are $1000 for males and $1100 for females plus any delivery charges. We can air ship puppies.
